Organization: The Gordon Institute of Business Science’s Dialogue Circle was established in 2000.

Organization’s biography: GIBS is a business school for and from the business community. It is located in the Sandton section of Johannesburg, and partners with leading companies. The campus and its facilities were designed to create a learning environment in which everyone stretches their thinking, challenges existing ideas and develops a personal and organizational sense of where to go next.

What the Gordon Institute for Business Science is doing during the World Cup: We will provide a series of debates on the long-term impact of the tournament, raise funds for sport and youth, host diverse South Africans to watch games, and explore the nation-building potential of the tournament in dialogue sessions across all our courses.

My most meaningful place in South Africa: It’s downtown Johannesburg, which is a vibrant, rhythmic and sometimes troubled city center. The inner city of Johannesburg is full of potential for change. It represents the best and worst of us, and often shows its hidden beautiful side when you spend enough time there.
